This volume was none other than the Codex of Courage, one of the Twelve Codices of the Law Domain.
Suddenly, the Codex of Courage suspended in midair flashed. The two crimson-gold characters—Cour-age—blazed with dazzling brilliance, radiating a light so intense that even the entire hall trembled faintly.
Below, the middle-aged man who had been sitting in silence abruptly opened his eyes. A trace of astonishment flickered within them as he looked up at the Codex of Courage and shouted in a deep voice.
“Divine Revelation!”
A flash of light. The Codex of Courage transformed into a streak of red light and descended into his palm. In its original place, a radiant golden Holy Page appeared.
Anyone who witnessed this would have been utterly shocked. Because the Divine Codex in his hand was one of the Twelve Codices.
Yes—this man was none other than the foremost figure of the Law Domain. The Divine Envoy of Courage. The one who wielded the Codex of Courage. And at present—the only Divine Envoy in the Law Domain.
The Divine Envoy of Courage closed his eyes briefly, sensing the aura emanating from the Codex. A surge of intense joy flashed through his gaze.
“Could it be… Wisdom has chosen its master?”
He suddenly burst into laughter.
“Heaven blesses the Law Domain! Heaven blesses Humanity! Hahahaha!”
Though his features were refined, in that instant, the aura he exuded was wild and unrestrained. A flash of red light. He and the Codex vanished at once, becoming a streak of crimson that shot out of the hall and disappeared in an instant.
Wisdom City
Step by step, Fa Hua walked toward the gates of Wisdom City. The golden radiance surrounding him grew ever more intense. The dazzling light was almost blinding, and those who saw it felt as though clarity had been poured directly into their minds. Thoughts that had once been muddled became clear. Problems that had once been incomprehensible suddenly resolved themselves.
Enlightenment. Yes—at that moment, they were awakening. Bathed in the sacred golden light of wisdom, every person received benefits to varying degrees.
At last, Fa Hua reached the city gates. Just as he was about to step through, he stopped.
The entire Wisdom City trembled. A vast, authoritative voice resounded throughout the city:
“What is wisdom?”
Fa Hua raised his head, golden light shining in his eyes, and answered in a steady voice:
“Wisdom is the reflection of Humanity within creation. Humanity’s gift is creation.”
“Boom—!”
The moment he spoke the final word, he stepped forward without hesitation. As his foot touched the ground, the entire Wisdom City shook violently. In the next instant, three beams of golden light shot into the sky—from the three temples that housed the first, second, and third pages of the Codex of Wisdom.
Fa Hua’s body rose uncontrollably into the air. His voice echoed across the entire city.
“Wisdom is the reflection of Humanity within creation. Humanity’s gift is creation!”
“Wisdom is the reflection of Humanity within creation. Humanity’s gift is creation!”
…
The three beams of golden light arced through the sky and converged at a single point. That point—was Fa Hua.
At the same time, beyond the city, streaks of golden light rose one after another, all converging toward Wisdom City.
When the voice first sounded, Fa Yun—the Lord of Wisdom City—had already been alerted and stepped out of his chamber.
He could not clearly see the figure enveloped in golden light. But he understood exactly what this meant.
The Twelve Wisdom Temples had responded. There was only one possibility.
The Codex of Wisdom had recognized its master. A new Divine Envoy—an Envoy of Wisdom—had been born.
Fa Yun’s entire body trembled with emotion. How many years had it been? At last, the Law Domain would welcome another Divine Envoy. And this time—it belonged to Wisdom City.
The birth of a Divine Envoy meant the complete elevation of the Codex itself. All who possessed a Divine Codex within Wisdom City would benefit.
And yet…
Fa Yun could not understand. Who could possibly have earned the Codex of Wisdom’s recognition?
In his memory, no such figure existed in Wisdom City. Among the twelve main cities, Wisdom City ranked near the bottom. Its overall strength was weak—even he, the city lord, was only Eighth Rank. Not even Ninth.
In his understanding, gaining recognition from the Codex of Wisdom should require at least God-level cultivation. After all, the Divine Envoy of Courage was a Tenth-Rank Star God—the strongest in the Law Domain.
Bathed in golden light, Fa Hua heard the voice resounding within him again and again.
“Wisdom is guidance. Wisdom is creation. Wisdom is discovery. Wisdom is thought…”
Each phrase surged into his mind. The Divine Codex in his hands turned to the eighth page. A beam of light imprinted itself instantly. Then—the ninth page.
And then—
Two beams of golden light descended one after the other, covering both the front and back of his Codex. The three characters Judge vanished. In their place appeared two new characters:
Wis-dom.
The Codex turned pure white. The golden word Wisdom shone brilliantly upon it.
Fa Hua had never encountered anything like this before. He didn’t understand what was happening. But he could feel it—
Something within him had changed.
It was as though twelve distinct presences were breathing in rhythm with him. When his thoughts extended outward, he could sense those distant points at will.
His cultivation hadn’t increased. But his very essence had transformed.
The white Codex of Wisdom slowly opened to the first page. Fa Hua’s eyes widened.
The light orbs surrounding his Divine Avatar had increased to ten.
The tenth tier?
Second page—ten.
Third page—ten.
All the way to the ninth page—ten.
And beyond that…
The Codex was thicker. Originally, the ninth page had been its limit. Now, three additional pages had appeared. Three pages of shimmering golden light.
Yet their contents remained blurred—indistinct. Clearly, they belonged to a realm he had yet to reach. A realm of the gods.
Within his body, his holy power surged like a torrent, pouring into the Codex without restraint. In just a dozen breaths, it was nearly exhausted. The golden light around him began to dim.
But at that moment—
Four streams of colored light spread behind him like wings. A figure emerged. Two hands pressed firmly onto his shoulders. The four-colored radiance twisted into a vortex, rapidly absorbing the elemental energies in the air and converting them into pure energy, pouring it back into Fa Hua’s body.
In an instant, his depleted power was restored. The Codex in his hands flared into a brilliant white.
Realization dawned. Fa Hua slowly closed his eyes, quietly experiencing the feedback from the Codex—feeling the transformation within himself.
At the same time, a faint milky-white glow radiated from both him and the figure behind him, flickering softly as it sustained the process.
At that moment, a streak of red light shot in from afar. It was a Codex—crimson in color. On its surface, the two characters Cour-age shone in red-gold brilliance.
The red light flickered. A figure stepped out from within it. He looked at Fa Hua, surprise flashing across his face before quickly turning into understanding. He did not approach. He simply watched from afar, the smile on his face deepening.
At last, the white radiance of the Codex of Wisdom gradually receded. Fa Hua opened his eyes. They shone brighter than ever.
A burst of white light spread outward, dividing into twelve streams that shot toward twelve directions. The Codex in his hands returned to its original golden form. The three characters Judge reappeared.
“Whew… finally done. Any longer and you would’ve drained me dry. Quite the spectacle,” Lan Ge said, popping his head out beside Fa Hua, slightly out of breath.
Just now, Fa Hua’s body had been like an endless vortex, constantly drawing in Lan Ge’s elemental power. Without the Peerless Pearl stabilizing their shared energy, he wouldn’t have been able to endure it.
But during that process—
Both of them had grasped something. A faint understanding of all things under heaven. An indescribable elevation.
They sensed it. Yet they hardly dared to believe it.
After all—
They had only just reached the Ninth Rank.
“I’m heading off again!”
“Mm.”
“No thanks?”
“Heh.”
“I knew it! Fa DuiDui, you heartless bastard! I’m out.”
With a flash of light, Lan Ge vanished. The golden light in the sky faded. The surrounding radiance dissipated.
Only Fa Hua remained, floating effortlessly in midair. And another figure, not far away, surrounded by a faint red glow.
A gentle voice sounded.
“Congratulations. If I’m not mistaken… you must be Fa Hua.”
Fa Hua turned. The middle-aged man had already arrived before him.
“You are…?”
The man smiled faintly.
“Of the Twelve Codices…”
“I am Courage.”
